Ohio Lambda Founders Award
The Ohio Lambda Founders Award currently provides for a $300 scholarship. Selection criteria are academic standing and leadership and service to the local Phi Kappa Psi chapter, Miami University, and Oxford community. Heavy emphasis is placed on Chapter service, both through “behind the scenes” contributions or through official capacities. A cumulative GPA of 2.8 (on a 4.0 scale) is required to apply. Preference is given to those applicants living in the Chapter House.
Created to honor the founders of the Ohio Lambda Chapter and to recognize all Miami University Phi Psi’s who, in the spirit of the Founders, have and/or continue to contribute time, effort and money to the success of Ohio Lambda.

Nicholas Ruppman Community Service Scholarship
The Nicholas Ruppman Community Service Scholarship has been established to recognize and support an undergraduate Ohio Lambda Chapter member displaying exceptional "community spirit"; that is, strong character, respect for others, and a commitment to serving his community. Two aspects of community service are highly valued in this award:
support of one’s immediate community of family and friends; and
work to improve the broader community through humanitarian efforts.
Community service is the main factor in this award. There is no minimum GPA required to apply.
This $1,000 award is named in memory of Nicholas Christian Ruppman, Ohio Lambda ’89, who served the Chapter in many capacities during 1989 – 1991. Nick’s unselfish service and dedication to his family, fraternity, and community touched the lives of many.
